How a Sedentary Lifestyle Affects Health

A sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of musculoskeletal pain and cardiovascular problems, especially when sedentary behavior extends into leisure time. However, regular physical activity significantly reduces these risks, supports productivity, and improves work performance. A sedentary job doesn’t have to be such a threat if it is compensated with enough physical activity.

I thoroughly enjoyed the sedentary lifestyle compensation workshop by DSM. It was playful and fun. I loved the mix of theory and practice—you learn what to do and then immediately try it out. It’s great that DSM brings a fresh perspective instead of repeating the same old advice. It’s something I hadn’t encountered before, and it fits me perfectly. I 100% recommend it.
